About
Clinical Practice
Professor MacQuillan is a Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who treats a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders in adult patients, with an evidence-based and practical approach to clinical patient care. Prof MacQuillan has a list at Hollywood Private Hospital and holds the position of Consultant Transplant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Background & training
Professor MacQuillan graduated from Liverpool Medical School in 1992. He was awarded a PhD from UWA in 2002, gained his FRACP in 2003 and FRCP (London) in 2010. He is Consultant for the WA Liver Transplantation Service, and a Clinical Professor with the UWA Medical School.
As a Principal Investigator on various clinical trials focused on the treatment of chronic viral hepatitis, decompensated liver disease, Professor MacQuillan has published in major medical journals and is regularly invited to speak at meetings and conferences.
