About

Urwa is a Registered Psychologist who strongly believes that rapport is necessary in achieving results in therapy and strives to deliver therapeutic interventions in a caring, non-judgemental and empathic way to help clients feel safe and supported. She has worked with individuals presenting with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, insomnia, chronic pain, substance use and adjustment issues. Urwa also has experience working with worker’s compensation and CTP clients.

She utilises evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Humanistic approach and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.

Urwa is committed to a person-centred approach and tailors her therapy techniques to best suit the client’s needs, including culture, language, beliefs, communication style and life.

Urwa has worked experience in an occupational rehab setting as well as in in private clinical practice.

Urwa has experience working with young adults and is committed to helping individuals navigate their mental wellbeing journey.

Urwa holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Masters of Clinical Psychology and speaks Urdu/Hindi and Punjabi
