Research Ethics, Governance and Grants System (REGGS)
REGGS (Research Ethics, Governance and Grants System) is an online, cloud-based portal that streamlines the management of research ethics and governance across Ramsay Health Care. It simplifies the application process and improves efficiency for researchers and study teams.
Key features of REGGS
- Efficiency: The portal reduces delays and prevents issues with lost emails or missed submissions.
- Enhanced control: Applicants gain control over the submission process.
- Improved reporting: REGGS enables oversight and reporting on Human Research Ethics Committee/Research Governance Office (HREC/RGO) turnaround times.
- Online submission: Submit new ethics and governance applications directly through the portal.
- Real-time updates: Study teams receive real-time updates on application progress.
- Self-service access: Applicants and study teams can log in to check the status of their application anytime, eliminating the need for emails or phone calls to the Research Governance Office (RGO).
How REGGS works
To start using REGGS, you must first create your account/log in then complete a project registration form. This form helps identify whether a Human Research Ethics Application (HREA) or Site-Specific Assessment (SSA) is required for your project.
The project registration form also facilitates linking projects across multiple facilities, allowing master study documents to be uploaded once and shared with all related sites.
Please note that REGGS Grants and REGGS Ethics and Governance are different systems. All applications to Ramsay Human Research Ethics Committees (HRECs) must be completed and submitted via REGGS.
For more information on the ethics application process, refer to our ethics page .
