Research consultations for practitioners

Unlock the power of data with tailored biostatistical support to help strengthen your research. Our consultations assist with all aspects of biostatistics, including study design, data analysis, interpretation and more.

We can provide advice in the following areas:

• Assessing the feasibility of your project proposal.
• Clarifying your research question and identifying key outcomes.
• Conducting sample size requirements and power analysis.

• Data collection using REDCap.
• Evaluating the practicality and methodology of data collection.
• Guidance on conducting analyses and interpreting results.

Consultations are available to all Ramsay accredited practitioners and employees, including doctors, VMOs, nurses and other personnel involved in or planning research at Ramsay facilities.

• Consultations with: Nazim Bhimani, a highly experienced biostatistician and data manager.
• Method: All consultations are online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

 

Meet our biostatistician: Nazim Bhimani

Nazim is a biostatistician and data manager for the gastrointestinal department at Royal North Shore Hospital and a lecturer in surgical education at the University of Sydney. He is also pursuing a part-time PhD in medicine and holds a Master of Biostatistics, a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science (Advanced Science). Nazim is a member of the Ramsay Health Care Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and has an active role in volunteer leadership positions.

Cost

Your first two one-hour consultations are free. Fees apply for every consultation thereafter and must be covered by the person requesting the consultation.
