My name is Brett and I have been at Shepparton Private Hospital for 4 years.
Describe your job without using a position title?
My job is to ensure that every physical thing on the hospital site functions correctly and to the highest possible standard.
What motivates you and why?
When I do my job well, I can alleviate some of the work stresses from my co-workers so that they can focus on the most important aspect of what we do, looking after people.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

What does the Year of Health and Care Workers mean to you?
It’s an opportunity for all people who work in health care to be applauded for the amazing work they do.
What would you say to inspire future generations of workers in health care?
Working hard at whatever you do in the health care industry is extremely rewarding. Everyone who works in the health care industry plays a vital role, from cleaners and kitchen staff, administration, stores, maintenance and executive team, to our amazing nurses, and talented theatre people. When we enjoy our jobs and work together as one, we create a rewarding, supportive and fun work environment that allows us to focus on what matters most, caring for people.
