WA

My name is Julie Clark and I have worked at Peel Health Campus since I arrived from England in July 2006. 14years/ 9 months.

Describe your job without using a position title?

I would describe my role as a varied one. I continue to have direct patient care and work closely with staff in all disciplines across the hospital, especially during the past 12 months with the presence of COVID-19. I bring teams together to improve systems and processes, which ultimately improve patients care. I also have administrative duties such as data reporting.

What motivates you and why?

My team motivate me. I love to see people grow, blossom and learn to reach their potential whilst enabling others to reach their goals.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I really admire people that are creative so I think I would learn to be an artist.

What does the Year of Health and Care Workers mean to you?

This is a year to celebrate greatness; the past 12 months have been very challenging. As a team, we have achieved great things this is evident when we work together as a team for a common goal, optimising the patient experience.

What would you say to inspire future generations of workers in health care?

Health care is the best job in the world, if you want to work in an environment that is both equally challenging and rewarding then health care is the job for you. If you want more than a job, you want to be part of a community where your colleagues become your family then health care is for you.
