Dr Mitchell Kingston is an Australian Fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the treatment of disorders of the lower limb and orthopaedic trauma. Dr Kingston graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009 and then completed his orthopaedic surgery training in NSW. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a Fellowship of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA)..
Dr Kingston has completed subspeciality fellowships encompassing the entire lower limb with separate fellowships in foot & ankle disorders and hip & knee reconstruction under Australian trained internationally renowned surgeons. These fellowships were undertaken across the Prince of Wales and Sydney Children’s Hospitals giving Dr Kingston experience in treating patients of all ages.
Dr Kingston has a wealth of international experience having been a founding student of the Ochsner Health (New Orleans) University of Queensland Clinical School. He was also selected for an orthopaedic student elective at Foothills Medical Centre (Calgary, Canada) and worked as a junior orthopaedic registrar in Dunedin, New Zealand prior to his orthopaedic training.
Dr Kingston is focused on providing patient centred care via an evidence-based approach. Dr Kingston has been awarded a Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) by the Australian National University for studies regarding the gluteal (hip) tendons and presented at multiple state and national conferences.
