Dr Viral Chikani completed his specialist training in Endocrinology in 2013 at the Princess Alexandra (PAH) and Gold Coast University Hospitals.   Dr Chikani’s PhD (University of Queensland) investigated growth hormone effects on metabolism, physical function and exercise capacity.   He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and is actively involved in research and medical education.  Dr Chikani is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, American Endocrine Society and European Society of Endocrinology.

With a keen interest in treating pituitary disorders, obesity, and obesity related endocrine complications such as Type 2 diabetes, testosterone deficiency and PCOS. Dr Chikani also leads a statewide bariatric surgery and complex obesity clinic with interests in thyroid and. TeleHealth clinics are also part of the services provided by Dr Chikani including consulting other general endocrine patients.

He has a strong belief in a team approach to achieving the best health for patients.
