Dr Ritesh Chatrapati is a highly qualified clinical haematologist with the Brisbane Blood Specialists clinic at Greenslopes Private Hospital. He has deep clinical and research experience diagnosing and managing a wide range of malignant and non-malignant haematological disorders, including leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, stem cell transplantation, bleeding disorders and thrombosis.

Dr Chatrapati graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India, in 2003. Before commencing his haematology training, he undertook physician training in the UK and Australia and gained invaluable experience which assists him in providing holistic and personalised patientcentric care. In addition, he undertook clinical and laboratory haematology training at Cairns Base Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He has a dual fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). In addition, Dr Chatrapati has membership in the Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group (ALLG), American Society of Haematology (ASH) and Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ).

An inherent part of Dr Chatrapati’s haematological expertise is to work closely with regional and national experts to gain access to clinical trials for his patients. He strongly advocates participation in haematology research and has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. His career has always been characterised by an excellent work ethic and an unyielding commitment to his profession.
