Dr Roger Watson has a clinical interest in prostate cancer, radical prostatectomy with nerve sparing both with robotic and open surgery, prostate ultrasound and biopsy, multimodal management of advanced prostate cancer, bladder cancer, diagnosis and assessment of suspected bladder cancer, telescopic bladder preserving treatments for early bladder cancer, radical cystectomy including continent urinary reconstruction, clinical trials in early and advanced bladder cancer, kidney and testicular cancer, and laparoscopic surgery for urological cancers.
Dr Watson trained in urological surgery in Brisbane, completing the RACS Fellowship in 1993. Following this, he undertook subspecialist training in the United Kingdom and the USA.
He has published extensively on all aspects of urological cancer, particularly bladder and prostate cancer.
