Dr Zaw Thet is a senior nephrologist and certified hypertension specialist practising at Hillcrest Rockhampton Private Hospital. 

He received his undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from University of Medicine, Yangon in Myanmar and his PhD from Griffith University, Queensland in Australia. He is a fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and American Society of Nephrology.

Dr Thet is a motivated medical professional with academic knowledge, clinical knowledge, and management skills. He is an Associate Professor at Griffith University and The University of Queensland. Dr Thet has published many review papers and undertaken research projects. 

Dr Thet accepts both inpatient and outpatient referrals only for General Medicine and Nephrology at Hillcrest Rockhampton Private Hospital.
