His main area of focus is the management of complex coronary artery disease using advanced intra-coronary imaging modalities and physiologic flow assessment to optimise stent implantation via radial and femoral approaches. His other focus include the percutaneous management of structural heart diseases, including left atrial appendage and patent foramen ovale closure for stroke prevention, as well as right heart catheterisation and cardiac biopsies. Dr Hanna believes strongly in holistic patient management and works closely within a team of Imaging cardiologists, Cardiothoracic surgeons, and allied practitioners to achieve best patient outcome.
Background & Training
Dr Hanna is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the United Kingdom’s Royal College of Physicians. He completed his Physician training at John Hunter Hospital, New South Wales before undergoing advanced training in cardiology at the Gold Coast University and the Prince Charles Hospitals, Queensland. He then travelled to Canada where he undertook a high-volume interventional cardiology fellowship at the Vancouver General and the University of British Columbia Hospitals under the mentorship of world-renowned pioneers in the field.
