Clinical Practice

Dr. Phil Daborn is an experienced Specialist Gynaecologist with a subspecialty focus on urogynaecology. He has been practicing privately since 2010 and has expertise in treating a wide range of gynaecological and urogynaecological issues. His main focus area is on conditions such as female genital tract prolapse and urinary incontinence. 

Dr. Daborn is an integral part of the Urogynaecology Unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital and also performs surgeries at Hollywood Private Hospital. Recently, he has relocated to South Perth and established his practice at 55 Labouchere Road. 

Dr. Daborn believes in a multidisciplinary care model and a patient focused delivery. He will take a thorough history and examination and arrange investigations, as required. He will devise a treatment plan based on the patient’s particular wishes and needs. He has an extensive range of colleagues that he works with to provide a multidisciplinary approach, particularly with physiotherapy, pain management and colorectal disorders.  Dr Daborn understands that some of these issues can be confronting and personally challenging and he takes a gentle and warm approach so patients can proceed in a way that is most comfortable. His staff have been particularly chosen to assist with this style of practice.

Background & Training

Dr. Daborn's expertise is rooted in his extensive training and background. After completing his Obstetric and Gynaecology training, he pursued advanced training in multiple renowned centers, ultimately achieving recognition as a urogynaecology subspecialist. He has extensive experience in managing urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, and complex vaginal repair surgeries. His surgical expertise extends to both primary cases (patients without prior surgery) and secondary cases (patients who have experienced failed previous surgeries or complications).
