Background and Training:

Dr. Brandon Wong, a local graduate, completed his schooling and earned his medical degree at the University of Western Australia. His foundational physician training took place at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, followed by extensive training in respiratory medicine across major hospitals in Perth, including Royal Perth Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and St John of God Midland Hospital. Dr. Wong furthered his expertise through a fellowship in sleep medicine and pulmonary physiology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, obtaining accreditation in sleep medicine and gaining experience in managing patients with complex respiratory failure.

Formally recognized by the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Dr. Wong holds procedural competencies in flexible bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, thoracic ultrasound, and chest tube insertion. His areas of interest encompass the rapid assessment of suspected lung cancer, lung nodule management, and sleep disorders. Dr. Wong's subspecialty expertise extends to asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, and the investigation of breathlessness.
