Dr Sarah Livingstone is a fully qualified Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She is a highly skilled and caring female obstetrician and gynaecologist, offering personalised, holistic, and empathetic care to women.
Sarah joined North Shore Private Hospital in 2023 to provide private gynaecological care for women at all stages of their lives. She understands the often very personal journey involved in seeking gynaecological advice. Her approach ensures patients feel comfortable to discuss their care openly, with a strong emphasis on patient-led decision making.
Sarah also works as a Staff Specialist at The Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick. In this role she oversees the care of women through the Midwifery Group Practice Obstetric Model of Care. She is the Chair of the Clinical Business Rule Committee, which develops local operating policy and procedures for the Royal Hospital for Women. She has a regular colposcopy clinic for management of cervical screening abnormalities and a general gynaecology clinic, as well as being on call for obstetrics. Sarah is also a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at St Vincent’s Hospital and has admitting rights at North Shore Private Hospital. Sarah can take care of her patients regardless of private health insurance, with both public and private admitting rights.
Sarah has completed training in some of Sydney’s finest hospitals including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, The Royal Hospital for Women and St Vincent’s Private and Public Hospitals. She has completed rural training at The Tweed Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital. Sarah held the Senior Registrar position at The Royal Hospital for Women for two years, before completing an extra year of training in advanced laparoscopic and urogynaecology surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital, gaining additional expertise in minimal invasive surgery and complex pelvic floor repair.
Outside of medicine, Sarah would say her greatest achievements are her three children and busy family life. On the weekends she rides her bike to the beach and manages her sons’ soccer teams. Prior to medicine, Sarah was an elite rower and knows the dedication required to achieve your goals.
As an experienced clinician, Sarah’s mission is to provide patients with the education needed to empower them to make their own decisions about their healthcare. While providing the most up to date, evidence-based care, she tailors her approach to each person’s circumstances and wishes. Her professional, thoughtful, and friendly manner is a comfort to women seeking her care.
