I worked in Singapore National Kidney Foundation before moving to Australia in 2006. After completing my FRACP in 2008, I started working as a senior consultant with Queensland Health, and was formerly the director of renal services for one of the largest regional hospitals in South East Queensland.
I am equally passionate about teaching and research. I completed my PhD with the University of Queensland and promoted as an Associate professor with the University of Queensland. I have an impressive research profile and published extensively in national and international journals. I presented papers in major conferences over the last 20 years and is an invited guest speaker at many conferences abroad.
Dr Sree holds important non-academic positions with Queensland Health: as the co-chair of State-wide Renal Clinical Network (SRCN) and a member of Queensland Clinical Networks Executive Committee (QCNE), and a collaborative member of Advanced Kidney Care 2026.
In addition to his work with QH, he has private clinics at North Lakes Specialist Centre. Having worked in public system, he realises that there is significant GAP and lack of support for primary care physicians (GPs) in terms of management of CKD patients. Management of renal patients is a long-term option and a mutually beneficial one for a specialist and primary care physician. He has always believed in provision of affordable and equitable kidney care for all patients with kidney disease.
Dr Sree is happy to be consulted for patient review, service and advise. Financial constraints should not be a barrier for quality care.
