Dr Shedda attained her medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 1996 and completed her general surgical training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2003, further enhancing her expertise through the Australian Colorectal Fellowship Program in 2008, gaining international experience at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA. In addition to her medical qualifications, she holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Queensland and a Juris Doctor degree from RMIT University, awarded in 2021. Committed to advancing surgical techniques, Dr Shedda is proficient in advanced minimally invasive procedures such as robotic colorectal surgery, Video-Assisted Anal Fistula Treatment (VAAFT) and Haemorrhoid Artery Ligation Recto Anal Repair (HAL-RAR). Dr Shedda holds significant leadership roles, including board member of the Foundation Board of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand. She consults at a number of locations across Melbourne and is affiliated with several hospitals.
