Dr Heidi Peverill is a general surgeon who has undergone advanced training in breast and melanoma surgery. She has a particular interest in breast preservation and reconstruction. This includes implant reconstruction as well as oncoplastic, local flap, breast lift and reduction techniques, to achieve both best practice cancer management as well as optimum aesthetic results. In addition, she cares for women and families at high risk of breast cancer, providing genetic testing and long-term management. Dr Peverill also manages patients with melanoma, including provision of sentinel lymph node biopsy, to allow patients to benefit from modern melanoma therapies.  

After completing her medical training at Monash University and graduating with honours, Dr Peverill trained in General Surgery around QLD including here on the Gold Coast. She obtained fellowship in 2011 and then undertook further training to specialise in Breast Surgery. She has completed a Masters of Advanced Breast Surgery (University of Sydney), and has been a full member of BreastSurgANZ since 2013.

After the last 8 years in Brisbane at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Private Hospital's, Dr Peverill has returned to the Gold Coast, consulting at Breast Care, Level 6 Premion Place, Southport and operating at Pindara Private Hospital.

Dr Peverill also works publicly at Robina Hospital, performing breast, melanoma and general surgery.

Outside of work, Dr Peverill enjoys spending time with her husband Michael, their young daughter, and two fluffy white dogs.
