Dr Garibotto is General Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in Oncoplastic, reconstructive Breast Surgery and Endocrine Surgery. She has joined practice rooms with her colleague and mentor Dr Peter Schwartz, a well-known and respected Specialist General Surgeon with experience with breast surgery in the St George area, and will be consulting from St George Private Rooms.

Dr Natalia Garibotto attended the University of Sydney, graduating with honours in Medical Science before completing a Medical degree in 2004. Her early training as a junior doctor was at RPAH before traveling to the UK to live, study and work where she gained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS). She returned to Australia to undergo her surgical training and gained her fellowship in General Surgery with Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2017. She went on to do 3 years of post-fellowship training at St George Public Hospital, Wollongong Hospital and The Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia in Breast, Endocrine and Head & Neck Surgery. Her final year was focused on Breast oncoplastic techniques and gained her membership with Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ) society. She is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgical society and the General Surgeons Society of Australia.
Dr Garibotto manages all types of benign and malignant breast conditions with an interest in oncoplastic and implant based breast reconstruction. She manages surgical diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, salivary gland and adrenals. She has been trained in and manages general surgical conditions with both laparoscopic and open techniques excluding perianal conditions.
Dr Garibotto is currently completing her Masters in Advanced Surgery (Breast) at the University of Sydney and Chris Obrien’s Lifehouse. She has presented research in both Australian and overseas conferences including the World Congress in Thyroid cancer in Boston USA in 2017 and the Melbourne International Joint breast Congress in 2018. She has a love of teaching and has a position as a tutor at the University of Sydney Medical School and has taught on numerous courses.

She is also a fluent Spanish speaker.
