Dr Naresh Dayananda is a Specialist Cardiologist and grew up in Brisbane, graduating in medicine from the University of Queensland.  He trained in medicine at the three major hospitals in Brisbane as well as Toowoomba and Nambour.  In his year at Nambour Hospital and living on the coast, he fell in love with the Sunshine Coast.  

His advanced training in Cardiology was at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital and Gold Coast Hospital.  Subspeciality training in Cardiac electrophysiology and pacing was obtained with a 2-year fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Complex ablation training (atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia) was obtained with a further 2-year fellowship at the Halifax Infirmary in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Naresh is currently the Clinical Director in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and is committed to improving the access to these services on the Sunshine Coast.  He consults and operates private at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.
