Dr Mun Khin Chan is a trilingual Australian fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in upper limb and trauma surgery. His emphasis is on shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions. He obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of New South Wales in 2010. He completed his training in orthopaedic surgery in NSW and was awarded the Fellowship of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOA) and the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
Dr Chan completed fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery with a specific focus in arthroscopy (key-hole surgery), arthroplasty (joint replacement) and sports injuries. He also undertook a hand and wrist fellowship to advance his skills in managing hand and wrist pathologies.
With the world constantly changing, Dr Chan strongly believes in working together with his patients to formulate individualised plans towards achieving their needs.
Dr Chan is also active in research and teaching with presentations in national conferences as well as publications in international scientific journals. He received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching by the University of Newcastle.
