Yik Lim provides services in the subspecialty of Urogynaecology (female urinary incontinence & pelvic organ prolapse) which include urodynamic studies and advanced vaginal/laparoscopic/abdominal pelvic floor reconstructive surgeries. After completion of FRANZCOG training in Australia & UK, he underwent 4 additional years of subspecialty training in Victoria & Queensland, which also included an elective training period in India for experience in urogenital fistula management. He was granted the Certificate of Urogynaecology (CU) by RANZCOG in early 2007.

Mr Lim received a number of awards including; the Bill Boyd Black Bottle, Christopher Kohlenberg Medal, Brown Craig Scholarship and AMS Travel Bursory for top CU examination candidate in 2006. He is also widely published both nationally and internationally in the areas of pelvic floor reconstructive surgeries as well as female urinary incontinence.

Yik Lim currently holds appointments as VMO at the Mercy Hospital for Women. He is a preceptor for various minimally invasive sling and mesh surgeries, and is an examiner for the RANZCOG urogynaecology subspecialty examination. He has private operating sessions at Warringal Private Hospital, Mitcham Private Hospital and Epworth Freemasons.

Mr Lim's clinical interests are all aspects of female urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse disorders, painful bladder syndrome, urogenital fistula, and recurrent UTIs. He is also the Secretary of the Urogynaecological Society of Australasia.
