He has a clinical interest in Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), complex stone disease and renal cancer. Modher is a Melbourne-trained Urologist with an interest in renal and ureteric stone disease. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Surgeons with more than 20 years of medical experience.
He graduated from Baghdad University College of Medicine in 2003 and has worked in four different countries: Iraq, Jordan, U.K. and Australia. In Iraq, he completed his internship and volunteered as a doctor under war conditions. In England, he finished his foundation training in Nottingham deanery in the East Midlands.
He moved to Australia in 2007 where he worked in Darwin, Newcastle and Melbourne before entering the Urology training program in 2013. During his training, he worked in Box Hill, Frankston, Launceston, The Austin, and The Alfred hospitals. Modher worked as a Urology Fellow at Monash for 2 years and had another Fellowship year split between St Vincent Hospital in Melbourne and Ballarat Base Hospital.
He has multiple publications, national and international presentations and has received several awards. He is interested in teaching of medical students and junior doctors.

Modher is married and has 2 children. His is a keen horse rider and squash player, he is a passionate NBA and Golden State Warriors fan.
