Dr Soni Putnis is a General Surgeon with an interest in bowel surgery. Her  practice that spans Wollongong and Shellharbour Public Hospitals, Shellharbour Private Hospital, Wollongong Day Surgery and Wollongong Private Hospital. Her consulting location is at Wollongong Surgical Associates on Crown Street, Wollongong.

Dr Putnis is experienced in the diagnosis, treatment and management of benign and malignant conditions of the lower GI tract. She has an interest in laparoscopic surgery for bowel cancer. Dr Putnis has an active interest in mentoring and teaching in the hospital setting and faciliates improved communications between healthcare professionals. She is a Fellow of both the English and Australasian Royal College of Surgeons.
