Philosophy of care statement:
They say, 'success is no accident', it is a cocktail of hard work, perseverance, non stop learning, sacrifice and above all, LOVING what one does. Preserving and enhancing my patient's vision is what I strive to achieve. I make every possible effort to do so for every patient, to the best of my ability and I absolutely love what I do. My reward comes from the happiness and a smile on the face of my patients, when they are able to see better.

A senior comprehensive ophthalmologist, A/Prof Agarwal completed her ophthalmology training at Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne gaining FRANZCO fellowship in 2006. She went on to do an advanced fellowship for another year in Melbourne before moving back to Sydney. She has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Refractive Surgery from the University of Sydney.

Being actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical professionals and students, is her other passion. A/Prof Agarwal teaches registrars and interns at public hospitals and regularly conducts continuing medical education seminars for doctors and Optometrists. She has taught cataract surgery to Ophthalmology registrars. A/Prof Agarwal is dedicated to the field of ophthalmology. Over the years, she has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals locally and overseas. She presented her latest research paper at ASCRS, Washington in 2018. She is regularly invited to speak at ophthalmology meetings and conferences in Australia as well as overseas.

A/Prof Agarwal has a deep sense of responsibility to the under privileged communities. She has provided free ophthalmology services in Fiji, India, Peru and Cambodia. Her last visit to Cambodia was in late 2018 as a part of Cambodia Vision charity team of medical professionals.
