Originally from the Netherlands, he trained in South Africa and has practiced CardioThoracic Surgery since 1997. He moved to Australia in 2001 and worked at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital as a consultant for many years.
Dr Sanders gained significant insight in minimal invasive surgery at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He keeps himself up-to-date by regular visits to international medical centres.
He is dedicated to reducing trauma that patients may experience when undergoing surgery. He maintains minimal wait times for both clinical appointments and surgeries, offering a weekly clinic at Mount Medical Centre.
