Background/Training
Hannah Shin graduated from the University of New South Wales and undertook a Fellowship in rehabilitation medicine through the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (RACP). She was drawn to rehabilitation medicine from a desire to holistically maximise quality of life and functionality, above and beyond traditional models of healthcare.
Hannah has an interest in neurorehabilitation including spasticity management with botulinum toxin injection, and geriatric rehabilitation including falls prevention and osteoporosis management. She is completing additional training in medical acupuncture with a focus in pain and movement disorders. She is enthusiastic about selecting and coordinating the most appropriate interdisciplinary care and navigating entities such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme, to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
Outside of medicine Hannah’s interests include music and her family. She is also fluent in Korean and can conduct consultations in Korean.
Hannah consults through private rooms in St Leonards and is a visiting medical officer at North Shore Private and Hunters Hill Private Hospitals. She leads the Hunters Hill Private Hospital Parkinson’s Reconditioning Program. She also consults through Advance Rehab Centre (Artarmon) where she conducts a Functional Movement Disorder clinic and a spasticity clinic.
