Dr Julian Verran graduated from the University of Auckland Medical School in 2014, going on to complete his Basic Physician Training at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. He completed his Haematology training across both Waikato Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, obtaining fellowships with both the RACP and RCPA. Dr Verran currently practices at John Flynn Private Hospital and the Gold Coast University Hospital.

His areas of experience and interest include:

•  Malignant haematology including acute and chronic leukaemia, myeloma, lymphoma and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
•  Myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndrome and cytopenias.
•  Haemostasis and venous thromboembolism.

He provides evidence-based care with a patient-centred approach.
