Dr Ahmed is a general surgeon with experience in Reflux, Hiatus hernia and Weight loss surgery. Khalid graduated from Iraq, college of medicine and did his internship and residency in Iraq.
In 2007 Khalid migrated to Australia where he worked for six years as a junior general surgical registrar. In 2013 after finishing MSC general surgery and transplant training from the University of Sydney he then enrolled in the advanced general surgical training program until he completed this training in 2019.
In 2021 Khalid undertook fellowship in an upper GI unit at Wollongong Public Hospital where he was involved in Gastric, Oesophageal and Pancreatic surgeries. Khalid was also involved in Bariatric surgery at Wollongong Private Hospital during this period. Khalid has had exposure to a wide range of bariatric surgeries.
