Dr Simone Steel is an experienced medical oncologist who has relocated her private practice to new rooms onsite at Peninsula Private Hospital.

 

Dr Simone Steel completed her medical degree at Newcastle University in 1998 and advanced training in medical oncology in 2008 as part of the Victorian Oncology Training Programe. This involved rotations through various hospitals in Victoria including Box Hill Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital. She completed a clinical research fellowship with Austin Health in 2008 focusing on clinical trials.

 

Simone commenced private practice in Frankston in 2011 and currently holds a public hospital appointment with Eastern Health which commenced in 2012. She has also been appointed as an adjunct lecturer at Monash University where she is involved in medical student teaching.

 

Simone is a general medical oncologist but has particular interests in gastrointestinal and lung cancer as well as clinical research trials. She is a member of Medical Oncology Group of Australia, American Society of Clinical Oncology as well as the subspecialty interest groups International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, Australian Lung Cancer Trials Group and the Australian Gastrointestinal Trials Group.

 

Simone lives permanently on the Mornington Peninsula with her family and is dedicated to providing quality, individualized care for her patients.
