Dr Reidy is a qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon, being a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
Dr Reidy worked and trained as a specialist at several leading hospitals in the UK and Australia, including three years of intensive trauma exposure at The Royal London (a Level 1 trauma centre in central London and one of the United Kingdom’s busiest and most prestigious hospitals). Dr Reidy also worked at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, North Sydney, Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Centre.
During his training, on the ‘Percival Pott’ programme, he rotated through a number of London hospitals receiving exposure and training in all aspects of orthopaedic surgery. While the majority of Dr Reidy’s training focused on lower limb arthroplasty, including revision surgery, the latter part of his training and fellowships has led to an interest and proficiency in trauma. Dr Reidy’s final year in the UK involved working in the Royal London’s Pelvic Firm, initially as a senior trainee, but for the last six months as a locum consultant operating independently in the United Kingdom’s busiest pelvic unit.
Dr Reidy has completed three fellowships in Australia namely: a hip and knee arthroplasty (including revision) fellowship, a sports knee fellowship and finally a general trauma fellowship at one of Sydney’s more famous institutions.
Dr Reidy is currently seeing patients at Pindara Private Hospital as well as serving as Staff Specialist at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
A successful sportsman, Dr Reidy represented National, State and Regional teams across the fields of Hockey, Cricket, Rugby and Golf.
