Clinical Associate Professor Andrew Leicester is a local Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in Knee and Hip surgery in both the Adult and Paediatric patient. He has been a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association since 1994 and the Royal Australian College of surgeons since 1990.
Clinical A/Professor Leicester has performed over 1000 medial pivot knee replacements and over 1000 anterior muscle-sparing approach hip replacements having co-designed the MPact acetabular hip replacement, which is being used internationally.
His interests extend to the majority of orthopaedic areas such as ACL reconstructions, hand, shoulder, foot and ankle surgery.
Clinical A/Professor Leicester teaches at the University of Wollongong, University of Sydney and is an examiner for the Royal Australian College of Surgeons fellowship exam.
When he is able to travel, Clinical A/Professor Leicester makes an annual trip to Tonga to perform voluntary clubfoot surgery.
