Dr Xu graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2007 before graduating medical school at Monash University in 2011.  

Dr Xu underwent specialist training in medical oncology through The Kinghorn Cancer Centre and Macarthur Cancer Centre in Sydney and was a fellow at the Melanoma Institute of Australia.  She was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2020 and moved to Albury in 2021.

Throughout her training, Dr Xu has gained considerable experience in breast cancer and melanoma clinics, and in managing patients on clinical trials.  She is currently undergoing a Masters in Biostatistics through University of Sydney.

Dr Xu treats all solid organ malignancies, with particular interests in breast cancer, melanoma and cancers of the genitourinary tract.
